APPLICATIONS OPEN 2021: MFA in Medium and Material-based Art
The Art and Craft department at KHIO delivers interdisciplinary art training in print and drawing, ceramics, metal & jewellery, textile and art & public space. Lectures, group critiques, tutorials and artists’ talks are programmed every week with a high tutor to student ratio.
The programme is free and taught in English.
Print and Drawing is open to printmaker artists who are interested in the expanded field of printmaking. The two-year post-graduate route is both studio and workshop-based with access seven days a week to intaglio, relief, screen printing and stone lithography workshops. In addition to photomechanical processes; photopolymer, copper-plate photogravure, photoetching, photolithography, cyanotype and van dyke brown. With a dedicated publishing workshop for risograph printing, typesetting and bookbinding.
Our alumni are supported by government grants to become emerging artists, who exhibit at an award-winning international level and may go on to complete KHIO’s practice-based PhD fellowship in artistic research.
