Assistant Professor of Art and Design – Printmaking, Houston,TX
The Art Department at the University of Houston-Clear Lake invites applications for a tenure-track position in Printmaking beginning fall 2017. Although the position is open to a wide range of skills and interests, the potential to teach courses that integrate all realms of art making with printmaking is important. The successful candidate has the opportunity to help cultivate an emerging printmaking curriculum. The 3/3-course load position offers summer teaching opportunities and a competitive salary.
Master of Fine Arts in Printmaking or a related field.
Evidence of an active professional creative practice and commitment to teaching including higher education teaching experience.
Applicants should also have the ability to teach 2D foundation and drawing courses.
Security sensitive – must pass a criminal history record check.
Knowledge of traditional and non-traditional printmaking practices is preferred.
