Teach courses ranging from introductory to advanced undergraduate and graduate levels in Printmaking, as well as supervise the Graduate Teaching Assistant Practicum. Courses may include: Relief, Etching and Intaglio, Lithography, Screenprint, and Digital Media. The successful candidate will oversee the printmaking studio, with an expertise in printmaking studio equipment maintenance, compliance with health and safety practices, and handling and disposal of hazardous materials. Faculty in this position may also be asked to serve as Foundations Drawing Coordinator on a rotating basis. Those responsibilities include supervising the Graduate Teaching Assistants in the foundation drawing area by teaching the Graduate Teaching Assistant Practicum course. Contribution to departmental and school-level activities and service are expected. Sustained creative endeavor/research at the national/international level is expected of tenure-track faculty.
M.F.A. in Printmaking required to be considered for this Tenure-Track position. National/international level recognition for area of expertise and a minimum of 2 years teaching experience at the university level or beyond are desired. Demonstrated experience in all studio practices of printmaking is required. Knowledge of contemporary theory and history also required.
