The Richard Stockton College of New Jersey seeks applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Printmaking beginning September 2015.
MFA and college teaching experience beyond teaching assistant level are required by time of appointment. Candidates must have an active and current exhibition record, demonstrate competency with contemporary and historical issues, drawing, graphic arts, and art history. The ideal candidate will engage students in traditional printmaking methods, a range of global and cultural perspectives as well as digital media. Experience with book arts is desirable. Academic and artistic experience with culturally diverse populations desired, as well as experience with students having varying degrees of artistic preparation.
Successful candidate will teach courses in all levels of printmaking, related studio arts courses as needed, and in the college’s General Studies program. Teaching load is six four credit courses per year, at least four of which are five-hour studio art courses. Salary range depends on qualifications. Preference will be given to candidates with evidence of excellence in teaching introductory through advanced level printmaking.
Salary will commensurate with experience.
