The College of Design, Architecture, Art, and Planning (DAAP) at the University of Cincinnati invites applications for a faculty position for a STUDIO ARTIST in the highly-ranked School of Art at the level of tenure-track Assistant Professor.

Our students are prepared for careers in the Fine Arts by a passionate faculty, rigorous academic endeavors, and a world-class professional practice (co-op) program. Rather than requiring students to declare a studio concentration, we offer an interdisciplinary curriculum that encourages students to focus on the development of their work through contact with internationally recognized faculty across all disciplines and media.
Responsibilities include a full time teaching load, which entails developing and delivering course materials which include theory, practice and practical application. An active practice as a fine artist is expected; Leadership and team building are essential faculty skills; A full time faculty member serves on various School, College and University committees and carries some degree of administrative responsibility for the curriculum. Expertise in printmaking and the ability to manage a print shop are required.
Minimum requirements include an MFA, two years teaching experience at the University level, an accomplished body of artwork. The ability to teach seminars in visual art concepts, visual culture, and/or critical theory is expected. The successful candidate will be expected to promote approaches that support cross disciplinary art practice and have the ability to teach both traditional and digital processes.
