Augsburg University, Assistant Professor of Art and Design, Tenure-Track Position
Augsburg University department of Art and Design invites applications for a full-time tenure-track assistant professor in the Studio Arts Program with a focus on 2D visual studies to begin Fall semester 2018. Serving the institution’s broader mission, the Art Department at Augsburg University emphasizes visual literacy and appreciation, design thinking, accomplishment in art making and an understanding of art and design historical context.
The faculty member selected will be the primary 2D instructor who will also be required to teach foundational design and drawing courses, intermediate and advanced 2D curriculum, facilitate 2D studios, and ability to teach the senior exhibitions course. In addition, non-teaching duties include department collaboration, mentor adjunct 2D instructors, curriculum development, advising, and networking/partnerships developed in this program area.
