Call for Participation “Routine Maintenance” exchange portfolio
Call for Participation “Routine Maintenance” exchange portfolio organized by Andrew Kozlowski, Assistant Professor University of North Florida.
COVID 19 continues to impact opportunities available to visual artists in exhibiting their artwork, however this remains a crucial and unique time for artists to produce artwork. This project creates an opportunity for 24 artists to contribute new work as part of a themed portfolio of original prints titled “Routine Maintenance”, organized by Andrew Kozlowski. The project will be shown at the University of North Florida and afterward be donated to the growing UNF Permanent Collection. The portfolio is supported by a Research Enhancement Grant from the College of Arts and Sciences at the University of North Florida.
About the Project:
The COVID-19 pandemic has disrupted our normal routines, blurred the lines between work and home, and required us to adapt to new cycles. This portfolio will offer a document of this upheaval. Each artist will be assigned an hour of the day and produce a print inspired by that time. These 24 images will be brought together as a single project and represent a day seen through the eyes of 24 artists, reflecting the diversity of experience in how we now conduct our days. Artists will produce an original print in an edition of 25 and receive a copy of the finished portfolio, with the additional set exhibited at UNF and afterward donated to the UNF permanent collection.
