The Faculty of Art is seeking a, dynamic and collaborative academic leader to assume the position of the newly formed Chair of Photography, Printmaking and Publications (PPP) program cluster. This position provides important leadership for faculty and students involved in bringing together synergies from these three areas, overseeing both curricular and community initiatives. Reporting to the Dean, Faculty of Art, and working closely with the Associate Deans and other Faculty of Art Chairs, the Chair of Photography, Printmaking and Publications develops and implements new and revised courses and refines existing programming in line with the Academic Plan that seeks to improve the student experience, foster interdisciplinary learning and advance equity and inclusion in hiring and curriculum development. This individual also provides oversight of donor-based initiatives. In addition, the Chair will support integration of Indigenous learning through the Academic Plan and the ongoing relationships with the Indigenous Visual Culture program (INVC).
Commensurate with this Chair, Photography, Printmaking and Publications position is a tenure-track/tenured appointment at the level of Assistant or Associate Professor. The Chair, Photography, Printmaking and Publications, draws on their extensive studio practice, research and commitment to contemporary art education and community engagement for this role.

This appointment will be for the period from January 1, 2019 to June 30, 2022, with the possibility of renewal for an additional term of up to three years. This position is full-time, including approximately 50% of administrative release and 50% teaching; the scheduling will be determined in consultation with and with agreement of the Dean, Faculty of Art. This academic leadership role includes an annual stipend with access to professional development funding.

Salary and rank will be commensurate with experience and qualification with access to full benefits, and pension contribution after one year of service
