This Juried Art Competition is open to all artists 18 years of age or older.
The Work Must Be Original:
You must be the creator of the art that you submit to the competition. Your art must be your own original concept and not a copy of anyone else’s copyrighted material. Upon submitting your work, to this competition, you are solely responsible for any infringement on copyrighted materials. All printmaking processes that produce original prints hand pulled by the artist are acceptable. Traditional printmaking only, no all-digital prints.
$25 for up to three images
There is no restriction on entering art that has been entered to previous competitions.
The artist retains all copyrights to their artwork without exception.
By entering this art competition, winners are granting us a non-exclusive perpetual license to reproduce images of your artwork on our INK FOR ALASKA website and in the Alaska Wilderness League newsletter and website, and in the marketing of the art competition to the general public. The First Place winner will have their work produced as a Christmas Card for the Alaska Wilderness League. Artworks will not be used for any other purpose than that which is stated here. All winning entries will be exhibited in a traveling exhibit.
File Sizes and Formats
Your images are best represented at 1200px on the longest side and a resolution of 72dpi. The acceptable file formats are: jpg, and jpeg
We reserve the right to request proof that your entry is your original artwork created solely by you. Non-compliance to this rule will be a disqualification of your entry.
Artworks may be submitted up until midnight Eastern Standard Time on the last day of the submission, September 15, 2016. No artworks will be accepted past the posted deadline.
Gift Certificates will be mailed to the winners within 14 days of the notification of winning.
Winners shall be solely responsible for all federal, state, and local taxes.
