Printmaking Technical Specialist – Cleveland Institute of Art
The Cleveland Institute of Art is seeking a full-time Technical Specialist to for the Printmaking department. The Printmaking program is part of CIA’s Visual Art environment which includes the areas of Drawing, Painting and Sculpture & Expanded Media (SEM).
The Printmaking Technical Specialist is a representative of the department, a crucial link in life of the studio for maintaining a respectful atmosphere supportive to the faculty, staff and students. Working closely with the department chair and faculty who teach the printmaking courses, the Technical Specialist helps in overseeing the day-to-day learning environment of the communal printmaking studios, and supports students in the safe and proper use of all printmaking equipment and materials. The Technical Specialist is an important contributor to the educational mission of the school, therefore the individual employed is responsible for leadership in communication amongst faculty and staff working in the Visual Art Environment, and CIA in general.
• Manage and maintain the Print Studio
• Provide curriculum support
• Supervise and maintain safety within the department
