Skills & Qualifications:
Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree (master’s degree preferred).
The ideal candidate will have a passion for and experience in working with under-served young people and their families.
The candidate will have demonstrated experience as an effective supervisor and administrator in a large-scale program.
S/he should have expertise in visual arts education, and studio arts program management.
The candidate will have experience inspiring and motivating people to achieve their highest potential and cultivating leadership capacity throughout an organization.
S/he should have excellent communications and management skills, be able to prioritize tasks efficiently, be attentive to detail, and
delegate responsibilities effectively.
Experience with the Chicago Public Schools and diverse communities throughout the city a strong plus.
Candidates with a demonstrated proficiency in Spanish, and expertise with art-making and art materials will be given priority consideration.
