Temporary Lecturer Position in the Art Studio Program 2020-2021 – Printmaking, University of California, Davis
The Department of Art and Art History at the University of California, Davis, invites applications for a lecturer position in the Art Studio Program to teach Beginning Printmaking in Fall 2020 (Sept. 28 – Dec. 18) and Winter 2021 (Jan. 4 – Mar. 19). The selected lecturer will teach a three-hour studio class twice a week and schedule regular office hours.
Art 11: Beginning Printmaking
These classes introduce students to the technical, aesthetic, and conceptual foundations of printmaking as an art form. Selected lecturers are invited to design their syllabi to integrate technical instruction with conceptual and historical content that takes advantage of their strengths, interests and background. Qualified applicants will have an MFA, teaching experience beyond the TA level, a contemporary professional art practice, and expertise in the field of printmaking. The candidate should be prepared to offer alternative online instruction if necessary due to the current Covid 19 pandemic.
