Position Announcement – Printmaking/Foundations, Assistant Professor, Tenure Track
The University of South Alabama’s Department of Visual Arts invites applications for a full-time, tenure track (9 month), Assistant Professor position in Printmaking and Foundations. Starting date is August 15, 2016.
Responsibilities: Teach undergraduate foundations courses (2-D design, perceptual drawing, figure drawing), and printmaking. Other duties include academic advising, active involvement in departmental and university governance, professional development, and public service.
Required credentials: Earned M.F.A. in printmaking or related field, and fluency in written and spoken English.
Application Materials Required: Letter of interest, vita, official transcripts, statement of teaching philosophy, 20 images of recent work and 20 images of students work if available (cd/dvd or website), and three original letters of recommendation sent directly by the respective referees.
