WHAT: Zea Mays Printmaking is offering a subsidized fellowship for a 2-week residency in our printmaking studio to one printmaker who demonstrates artistic excellence, accomplishment to date, and the intention of future achievement in the field of solvent-free printmaking.
WHO: Open to all printmakers who are working without solvents or committed to converting from traditional methods to sustainable practices. (current Zea Mays Printmaking members are not eligible)
HOW LONG: 2 weeks
WHEN: January 17 through January 30, 2017
WHAT’S INCLUDED: Private printmaking studio with 40” x 72” Takach etching press. Access to etching facilities and photopolymer darkroom, other studio equipment. In-studio housing in our guest suite which includes a private bedroom, sheets and towels, shared full kitchen, living room and bathroom.
Add-ons such as private instruction, workshops and critiques are not included in fellowship but can be added to Fellowship recipient’s experience at cost. Ink, paper and plates are not included in fellowship.
DEADLINE: Applications must be received by July 1, 2016 for consideration. Notifications will be sent out by August 1, 2016.
