How can print, with its emphasis on layering, multiplicity, and the passage of time, be used to explore the complex identity of place? This exhibition will focus on print-based work that tackles the politics and history of landscape. Preference will be given to work that addresses the legacy of colonialism and migration in the Americas. Any digital or traditional print processes will be considered. All work must be shipped to or dropped off with the curator of the exhibition (unless already in Puerto Rico).
If you are interested in participating in the show, please send the following to BBaylor@odu.edu by August 30th :
– Artist Statement addressing your interest in the theme (250 words or less)
– 5 – 10 images of past work (should be representative of what you plan to include)
– CV (2 page max)
Work that is 24 in. x 36 in. (61cm x 92cm) or smaller will be prioritized. Larger works will be considered if they can be packed in a tube. Please email Brendan Baylor at BBaylor@odu.edu with questions.
