Community Print Shop / Grassroots Organizations

$300/YEAR or $600 for TWO YEARS

Benefits

  • Advocate membership for up to 4 shop/organization members
  • 50% conference registration discount for up to 4 attendees
  • Option to include your materials in tote bags given to all conference attendees
  • Your marketing and logos on the SGCI website and publications.
  • Opportunities for Instagram takeovers to highlight your facilities and artists

Gallery Membership

$450/YEAR

  • Exhibit with two tables at SGCI Vendor’s Fair
  • Conference access for up to 4 attendees
  • Your marketing and logos on the SGCI website and publications
  • Option to include your materials in tote bags given to all conference attendees

Academic Institutional Patron Membership

$500/YEAR or $950 for TWO YEARS

This level is designed to accommodate the funding structures of universities and other institutions. Faculty, administrators, AND student print clubs are all welcome to take advantage of an AIP membership. If you are a student club/org representative and would like help navigating this level please email help@sgcinternational.org.

  • 5 student memberships / students can change in second year
  • Website listings, logos, college/university promotion
  • Table presence at Vendor’s Fair for recruitment
  • Early notification of hotel block reservations

Note: Institutions can purchase multiple AIP’s. This option allows schools to purchase student memberships at a discounted rate and gives your program a greater footprint at the Vendor’s Fair.

Vendors, publishers, and presses who register for the Vendors’ Fair now become Vendors members!

          SGCI EXECUTIVE BOARD POSITION DESCRIPTIONS

          Officers

          PRESIDENT
          The President leads the organization by overseeing routine operations, identifying opportunities, and establishing initiatives to be undertaken by the organization. Voting member; 2-year term. The President serves as ex-officio member for an additional two years.

          VICE PRESIDENT (of Internal Affairs)
          The Vice President (of Internal Affairs) presides over any meeting of the organization in the absence of the President. Duties include coordinating the member’s traveling exhibition. Voting member; 2-year term.

          VICE PRESIDENT (of Outreach)
          The Vice President (of Outreach) duties include fundraising, the Mentorship Program, and sharing information about SGCI with a greater community of artists and other art organizations. Voting member; 2-year term.

          SECRETARY
          The Secretary maintains the roll and minutes of all Executive Board and Membership meetings and may preside over any meeting of the organization in the absence of the President or Vice-Presidents. Voting member; 2-year term.

          TREASURER
          The Treasurer maintains the financial records of the organization, oversees all moneys of the organization, and receives and disburses moneys as directed by the President and the Executive Board. Voting member; 2-year term.

          INTERNATIONAL REPRESENTATIVE
          The International Representative serves to represent the international membership on the Executive Board and coordinates a panel at the annual conference. Voting member; 2-year term.

          STUDENT REPRESENTATIVE
          The Student Representative serves the student membership on the Executive Board, is responsible for coordinating a Student Event at the annual conference. Voting member; 2-year term.

          Board Members

          MEMBERS-AT-LARGE
          Three Members-at-Large are be elected from the membership and serve to broaden representation on the Executive Board. Voting member; 2-year terms.

          Board Appointments

          AWARDS COORDINATOR
          The President appoints one Awards Coordinator to oversee the conference awards, student awards, and grants. Non-voting member; no fixed term; may hold other positions on the Board.

          ARCHIVES COORDINATOR
          The Archives coordinator promotes and educates our membership and the general public on the history of the SGCI archives. Non-voting member; no fixed term; may hold other positions on the Board.

          AFFILIATE LIAISONS COORDINATOR
          The President appoints one Affiliate Liaisons to coordinate panels and events with other printmaking organizations and educational nonprofits. Non-voting member; no fixed term; may hold other positions on the Board.

          WEBSITE CURATOR
          The Website Curator has primary responsibility for the visual content of SGCI’s website—soliciting, overseeing, and producing visual content that may include online presentation of SGCI exhibitions, website or Instagram specific exhibitions, visual essays, how-tos, documentation of SGCI events, etc. Non-voting member; no fixed term; may hold other positions on the Board.

          WEBSITE EDITOR
          The Website Editor has primary responsibility for the editorial content of SGCI’s website—soliciting and writing written content that may include essays, reviews, interviews, how-tos editorials, etc. Non-voting member; no fixed term; may hold other positions on the Board.
