What is a Pop-Up Exhibition?
Pop-Up Exhibitions are works by and/or curated by SGCI Members, and are based on the conference’s theme. Please note that these exhibitions should be up for the entire conference.
The exhibition proposer or exhibitors will be responsible for bringing the artwork to be exhibited to the conference, and installing and deinstalling the exhibition. Available space will vary with each conference, so flexibility within each proposal is encouraged. The steering committee will be in touch with each Event Organizer about their exhibition space in the months leading up to the conference.
In the Round 1 Call for Participation, individuals who are interested in exhibiting or curating a Pop-Up Exhibition are invited to submit an application. Pop-Up Exhibitions are selected based on space availability, applicability and interest. If the Event Organizer is accepting additional participants, they can make their Pop-Up Exhibition open to applicants. Artists who are interested in having their work considered for a particular Pop-Up Exhibition submit an
application during the Round 2 Call for Participation.
¿Qué es una exhibición Pop-up?
Las exhibiciones Pop-up son obras realizadas por/y curadas por miembros del SGCI, y son basadas en el tema de la conferencia. Por favor tome nota que estas exhibiciones deben perpanecer por la duración de toda la conferencia. La persona que hace la propuesta de un Pop-up, o los exhibidores serán responsables por traer el arte a la conferencia para ser exhibido, al igual de ser responsable por su instalación y desinstalación. Los espacios disponibles pueden variar con cada conferencia, así que considerar la flexibilidad en cada
propuesta es necesario. El comité directivo/ steering committee estará en contacto con cada organizador de eventos acerca de su espacio para exhibir algunos meses previos al comienzo
de la conferencia.
En el Round 1 Llamado a Participar, individuos que estén interesados en exhibir o curar un Pop-Up están invitados a entregar una aplicación. Las exhibiciones Pop-Up son seleccionadas
basado en la disponibilidad de espacio, aplicabilidad, e interés. Si el organizador está aceptando participantes adicionales, ellos pueden abrir su exhibición Pop-Up a otros aplicantes. Artistas que estén interesados en tener su obra considerada para estos Pop-Up deben entregar una aplicación durante el Round 2 Llamado a Participación.
