This biennial exhibit is juried from submissions by active members of the organization. Generally, the exhibit features 50+ works from North American and international artists. It celebrates the diversity and vibrancy of printmaking, while engaging a broad range of contemporary themes and processes.
Each year, SGC International awards two student fellowships; one undergraduate ($500) and one graduate ($1000). Students may self-nominate, but must have a faculty sponsor who will submit a letter of support (nomination), and must be enrolled at the time of application. Applicants and the faculty sponsor must be SGCI members in good standing.
This award is presented annually to an outstanding student who best demonstrates the use of paper as an integral part of their printed works. The award of 100 sheets of ‘Awagami Editioning’ washi papers will be shipped directly to the winning student by Awagami Papermill in Japan.
